Your time spent with POSE PGH is truly a one-of-a-kind event that will be anything but cookie-cutter. This is why I, and my clients, refer to it as "an experience." It's an outside-of-the-box day of fun and pampering that your little ones will never forget, and they'll leave the studio feeling like mini-models. I strive to really get to know your children: What do they love? What do you love about them? What is it that makes them THEM? And, how can I help to capture all of this for you in modern imagery that will serve as beautiful works of art to proudly display in your home? I strive to give you and your children an incredibly unique, personalized portrait session, but it doesn’t begin or end with just the session. You will be taken care of every step of the way (and I really do mean every step), from planning to printing. The thorough level of service I provide helps to separate POSE PGH from the rest.
The first step after you decide to book a session with POSE PGH is to fill out a brief questionnaire sent via email. It only takes about 15 minutes, but it’s the most valuable part of the process. This questionnaire helps me get to know you and your children so that I can give you that perfect, custom session that captures your child’s spirit and personality, make your time with us enjoyable and special, and deliver images that match your existing home décor and personal style. If you decide to stick with a Basic Session, the questionnaire is still an integral party of the process that allows me to select appropriate backgrounds and posing, as well as better understand how to make your child feel comfortable and special. If you choose to schedule an Editorial Session, I’ll take the answers from your questionnaire and dream up something conceptual and magical that we’ll discuss during your in-home consultation.
This complimentary consultation takes place about two weeks before your session. Rather than you having to pack up the car and head down to the studio with the kids, I will happily come to your home, instead. This one-hour visit serves a multitude of purposes that all come together to enhance your time spent with POSE PGH. Firstly, this gives me the opportunity to meet your children prior to the session. Not only do I get to learn more about them in this way, but I also get to reduce any shyness that may be a concern, because I will have already spent time with them prior to photographing them. We’ll discuss the vision for the session that I’ve come up with in depth to ensure that it’s the perfect fit for you and your children – the lighting, the mood, the posing style. Once we’re on the same page about the direction everything will take, I will help you select wardrobe for your children’s session that both fits the vibe and will photograph beautifully, right out of their own closets! (Trust me – the right wardrobe and styling make ALL the difference in the world.) Lastly, after we’ve spent an imaginative afternoon planning and dreaming, we’ll sit down together so that you can see samples of the POSE PGH print and product line and better envision how you’d like to display your future artwork from your session. Perhaps you’re typically a fan of large, framed prints, but holding that canvas gallery wrap in your hands will completely change how you feel about canvas printing. It is so important for you to get to touch, see, and feel the quality of POSE PGH’s print and product line firsthand before making any printing decisions.
Picture this scene: You and your children walk through the studio doors and take a look around. The room is flooded with beautiful beams of sunlight that dance and bounce off of the white brick walls. You glance over to your left and see the picturesque photo set we discussed. It’s set up and ready for your children, and it’s even more wonderful than you had envisioned. You look to your right and see your children’s favorite snacks set out on a serving tray, ready for the moment when they get a little rumble in their tummies. You watch their eyes light up as they realize the fun that’s in store for them. After hanging their clothing up in the large, comfortable changing room, you settle in for some relaxation time with a magazine while your children have their hair styled to perfection by POSE PGH’s in-house glam squad. The best part of it all is seeing your children shine on set, as we dance, get silly, and do whatever else is necessary to capture some amazing images, all while keeping things light and enjoyable. At POSE PGH, I want your session to be luxurious and fun for everyone, big and small. I’ll allot between sixty minutes and two hours for your session (depending on which session you choose) to ensure that everything stays stress-free and that there’s ample time for outfit changes and necessary breaks.
Your Viewing and Ordering Session is the icing on the cake of the experience! This session takes up to two hours, as we will be going through the images individually. Following roughly two weeks of anticipation, you’ll come back to the studio for the big reveal of your images. After you’ve seen just how wonderful your images are and marveled in your children’s beauty and just how quickly they’re growing up (we provide tissues!), we’ll narrow them down to your favorites. From there, we'll go over all of your options, from retouching to which images would look best as a 20x30 over your fireplace, with my expertise and advice as needed. I know how busy and unpredictable life can be, and odds are that you have at least one USB drive or CD full of images that you’ve been meaning to print for ages and you just can’t seem to get around to doing it. This session ensures that your experience culminates in beautiful wall art that’s ready to hang and serve as both a fond memory and a conversation piece for years and years to come.
